That's what we're looking forward on a trip.
Every time I travel, I would usually book my flight with one of our local airlines back home. But this time it's different. Months back, my husband and I contested which airline I should take for my trip. I read blogs, forum, and reviews to check out the best airlines there is.
After so many discussions and all... we decided to book Singapore Airlines. Yes, it's my first time to try it... plus, after booking a flight you'd hear news of 'the plane' caught on π₯? I was like... 'Oh my' but hey... I am so thankful with all the good reviews I read about them. Theirs are the one's with best experienced pilots and amazing stewards!
'You know when your husband is so paranoid getting local airlines for a long trip abroad? haha' I've tried local airlines on my international trips before and I think it's okay tooπ But just to... you know... avoid arguments and all... Just go with what he likes to have haha
Oh well... I'm glad I agreed with him! It's one of the best flights I have had. Never mind the long hours spent and the layover... It's a fun (boring-less???) time spent up in the air!
The flight was booked via Travelwings.com; a travel agency based in UAE. We had the ticket issued by June 26th of this year and the flight was then scheduled 13th the following month (Wednesday).
Here's my flight details π
Everything went well and smooth. π **beck and call!
I made sure everything is all set on that day. From the Philippine immigration up until I reach my destination.(insert) ---> I'm thinking of making a separate entry for my paper processing (the visa and all) until my airport encounter back home up to UAE.
As you can see, I had a layover for this trip; from Manila to SG to UAE. I agreed for that as I was supposed to meet one of my best friends who's now residing in Singapore and also my ex-Vz colleague. Bad for me, neither of it I was able to do π The SG airport people is not allowing me to pass through since I only have a 3-hour waiting time until my next flight; I was told that they usually allow you to enter 'SG ground' (literally) if your layover time is about 5 hours or more. I was okay with it, though. At least I had all the time to check one of the world's finest airport π²
** Actually, It was I who chose that 3-hour time SG layover thinking that I'd still be able to meet them inside the airport. I never thought that I still have to pass through the immigration just to meet them hehe I did not choose the 24-hour one (as I'm too excited to meet my hubby π) and besides, I already visited the country years back with my relatives.
I really enjoyed that short flight to SG ♥ I befriended someone and had a short chit-chat along the way.
My breakfast for the day!
(Their air ticket includes meal)
I only had a few photos taken inside the SG airport and I wasn't able to explore it that much πΏ
This is what welcomed me π
(one of the many waiting lounge area)
And the mandatory toilet photo π
There's more...
And off I stroll and stroll and stroll... until I found this **MY PANDORA L♥VE
Actually, I got lost haha You know, when that voice-thing telling you to go into that specific gate and realized they made a mistake and tells you ** to go back where you're at in the first place?! after you walked for what seems like forever? Dang**
Look how clear I took this photo π
Well... my photographing 'skills' did not give justice to how fascinating this airport is...
π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’π’
Now...
Off to my most awaited flight!
15:10 - SIN to DXB
I then went to the waiting area near my gate and waited for another 30 minutes or so until my boarding lounge opens. Yes, they had this 'waiting section' apart from the actual boarding lounge... how cool is that?! π (sorry though, I don't have a photo of it... my bad)
I took the economy class and got lucky as there were only a few passengers in my flight.
See this? I had it all to myself haha
We're even allowed to choose our preferred seats π
Selfie first...
They allow you to take home the earphones... so I have 2 of them lol
Here's comes the most amazing part for me.
I think I had 4 meals at that time haha
1st set - Refreshment
Then after 30 minutes or so they'll ask you if you'd like a drink... I had red wine and peanuts.
Dinner time...
And my dessert... KitKat Ice Cream...
I took a photo of their Menu (sorry if it's not that clear π½
You can even ask for drinks any time you want... and it's for free. Everything is free.
(Tea... coffee... alcohol... water... etc.)
**yeah I know it's with the air ticket we paid.. but some airlines charge you extra if you ask additional drink...
My overall experience is great. I told my husband about it and he was pretty impressed. He traveled and tried other airlines too; what I told him about my experience with Singapore Airlines piqued his curiosity. π
Thank you #singaporeairlines and till our next journey together πππ
