Dubai Garden Glow

There is a child inside each one of us!

sweet treats, colors, lights, fun time... we love the things that keep on bringing the kids within us.

I've been seeing this place almost all the time; but I don't get a chance to visit it, not until this week. I was super excited and I did not expect that It'll be fun after all. I considered it as our post-anniversary celebration. We didn't plan on anything for this year's anniversary; we just spent our day the usual and decided to take dinner outside after work. So when I asked him (days after) if we can visit this place, he said yes right away.

We left noon time and get a chance to stroll at the mall for a bit; had lunch and waited til' 5:00 pm... then off we went to the Garden Glow.

This place truly is a wonderland for kids!

It's not just your typical garden that glows -- you'll be surprise on how they recreate Steven Spielberg's famous park too.

 We had so much fun exploring the place. It's fun and educational at the same time.

This is definitely a great place for families and kids.

How to get here?

Address: Zabeel Park Gate 6 & 7، Zabeel Area - Dubai

Timing: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM

Ticket: 60 AED (around 700-800 Php) and children under 3 years old are free

We took the train from Union Metro Station going to Dubai World Trade Center (Red Line: 15-20 minutes) (5th station from Union Metro) and from there, we took a taxi going to the park (it will cost you around 12-15 AED) and reached the area within 4-5 minutes. If you're a tourist, you can walk and explore the area nearby and it will only take you 26 minutes or so to get there.

There's also another way; from the same start point, you'll get off the 4th station, Al Jifiliya; then you can ride a cab/taxi or walk from there.  Walking will take you 47 minutes, though and around 9 minutes by cab.

You can always research before going; to know other ways to get there. And sometimes, it's fun to get lost hehe

A different kind of Pasta 🍝

This is something pending for quite sometime now.

I remember bringing food in the office one time and had to make a separate one for someone who is vegetarian...and non-pork eater.

So, I did 3 pasta recipes that time 🤗

For now... I will be sharing with you the pasta I made out of the veges I had in my fridge and pantry.

P.S.
This is an instant pasta dish.. 

Creamy Vege Pasta

Ingredients:

Spaghetti

Apple

Spinach
Mushroom
Scrambled Egg

Onion and Garlic

Chili flakes
Cheddar Cheese
Evaporated Milk
Olive Oil

How did I made this?

First, heat up your wok to medium and pour 1 T of olive oil.
Then, saute onion and garlic until golden brown.
Add the mushroom.
Next will be the chopped apple.
Mixed well for a minute and add the spinach.
Pour in the evaporated milk, chili flakes;
salt and pepper to taste.
Lastly, slowly add the bitten egg and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients.

 Once the sauce thickens, add now your pasta and topped with cheese.

Chocolate Banana by Redondo

This is one of the flavors from Redondo wafer sticks.

This is the second flavor I tasted from this brand. 

The wafer sticks comes in red packet inside its (reusable) tin can.

The wafer is comparable to the famous Filipino Stick-O snack. However, Redondo has a more sift texture and it varies as well when it comes to size.

Redondo is smaller than what I used to eat back in my hometown.

The flavor?

Chocolate mixed with Banana.

The banana flavor in it is very discernible. For me, it taste like the usual banana most bakers used for cakes and muffins.

I grew up in family of bakers and as I remember it, my aunt would use a long green ripe banana for making cakes and cupcakes.

I just can't remember what it's called.

But from the moment I taste this goodie? uhhhh it bring back memories of that cupcake I used to eat as a snack from my childhood!

Delicious indeed ♥

Hope you're all doing well today. Me? I've been busy the past weeks and rarely get a chance to write something new for y'all. My apologies to that.

Remember my post last July 14th? about a wafer sticks given by a friend?

My husband brought 3 more flavors last night; which he bought after his V-game.

I will make a separate blog about each one it and will share with you my favorite among the 3 flavors he got.

Day 7 - Holika Holika Pure Essence Mask Sheet CUCUMBER from The BB Cream Girl

Pure Essence Mask Sheet
Cucumber

20 ml / 0.67 fl. oz.

A moisturizing sheet provides moisture to skin and keeps it hydrated with cucumber extract.

Directions:

After washing the face, apply toner to tidy up skin texture.
Take out the mask and place the mask on the face while aligning it with the contour of the face.
Remove the mask  after 10-20 minutes and gently path to promote absorption of the residue into skin.

Caution:
For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on hurt or irritated skin. Avoid contact with eyes.

Most Holika Holika mask comes with an easy open packet with pure cotton mask sheet.

It feels very soothing and calming to the skin. The serum smells fresh and is non-irritating.

Stir Fry Veges with Chicken Liver

New recipe for today... 

Stir Fry Veges with Chicken Liver

Ingredients:

Brocolli

Carrot

Onion

Garlic

Chicken liver

Oister sauce

Salt and Pepper

Cooking oil

How to cook?

 Heat up your wok to a medium heat only and pour 1 T of oil. First, fry the chicken liver (non-marinated). Set aside once it turned brown.

Then, saute garlic and onion.

Add carrot and stir for 1-2 minutes. 

Now, add the brocolli and sprinkle with salt and pepper. 

Add back the chicken liver, flavor with oister sauce and mix until all veges are half cooked.

This is best served with fried fish as a side dish.

Redondo Luxury Cream Wafers (Vanilla)

A friend brought a snack for us; which is a vanilla wafer from the brand Redondo. I never actually heard of it until last night, when my husband handed me a tin can with a label that says...

I tasted it the next day and honestly, this isn't just your regular wafer out there. It has a fine texture, that melts in to your mouth with each bite. It taste extremely good too.

We have this in vanilla flavor and look how generous they are with the filling...

I asked my husband where did our friend got this one. He told me, it's from one of the stores in Dubai and they're selling this in different flavors. I told him that we need to try all the flavors sold and we could get a few as well as a pasalubong (present) for our family too.

NO SCENT!
LESS STICKY and more of like a water based serum.
BUT...
It feels very cool to the skin. It's like you can feel all those nourishing ingredients setting deep into to the surface of your skin.
Have you tried a salicylic (acid) peel? It feels weird, but that's the closest description I can give you.
Of course, this one's not painful.
