Ginisang Sayote!

 
 
 

This is what we had for dinner last night! Ginisang Sayote with pork as requested by my Dear
 
Ingredients:
 
1/4 K of Pork, sliced into serving pieces
1 medium Onion, chopped
4 cloves of Garlic, chopped
1 T Fish Sauce or Patis
1 T of Soy Sauce or Toyo
Salt & Pepper
1 medium size Sayote or Chayote cut into wedges 


 
 
Saute onion, garlic and pork in a hot pan with oil. Once pork turns brown, add the fish sauce and soy sauce then simmer for a minute or 2. Add a cup of water and simmer until pork becomes tender. You can then add the sayote once pork is well cooked. You can add water if needed. Simmer until vegetable is cooked.
