Did I duped you on that?
Sorry much! Peace please...
Ever wonder how April fool’s day started?
"Ok, guys I’ve googled it on your behalf" hihi
It all started when the calendar was changed back in the
1500s. People from the past used to celebrate New Year every 1st of
April not until 1582, when Pope Gregory XIII ordered a new calendar to replace
the old Julian calendar. This is to match the Roman calendar which celebrated New
Year every January of the year. At that time, they would celebrate the beginning of
the year at the start of spring,
which is in late March or early April.
Since technology isn’t evolving that fast back then, rumors
and word of the change traveled
slowly, and many people in rural areas continued to celebrate the New Year in
the spring. However, according to a popular explanation, many people either
refused to accept the new date, or did not learn about it, and continued to
celebrate New Year's Day on April 1st. Other people began to make fun of these
traditionalists, sending them on "fool's errands" or trying to trick
them into believing something false. Eventually, the practice spread throughout
Europe.
These country
dwellers became known as "April fools," as the story goes.
If you’re not that satisfied, you can click the reference I’ve
