I love Taiwan ♡

Thank you to my ever dearest Catherine Ballesteros for bringing this home for me. 

Actually I ask her to buy me a shoes from Taiwan. I remember telling her "yong parang native (haha) shoes nila". The oldies used to wear way back then. I plan kasi to collect shoes from the past. I'll ask those who will be going out of the country for vacation then I'll pay whatever it cost na lang. Bigla na lang kasi naisip ko... I've travelled to other countries na pero bakit wala ata ako naiuwi na souvenir T_T Then I told myself na whoever goes out of the country kelangan may ipapabili ako. Since I'm a shoe addict. Yon ang gusto kong i collect. Kahit pambata... kahit anong size... basta it's from the past... 

So let me introduce you to...

Taiwan's Bowed Shoes

This pair of bowed shoes date back to sometime during the late Qing dynasty to the early years of the ROC. They were worn on the bound feet of wealthy Taiwanese women of Fujianese descent and are a valuable cultural artifact for researchers of contemporary folk culture. These shoes have a pointed tip and heel, with the vamp and instep made of red cloth. The upper surfaces are finely embroidered with colorful auspicious plant and flower patterns. Items such as these are rare and are important to preserve as testament to the traditional practice of foot binding amongst Chinese women.

How about you guys. When you travel ba to other places may naiuuwi din kayong souvenir? 

I guess it's time na para maging habit ang pagcollect kahit maliit na abubot lang pag nagtravel kasi we may not know when we'll be back to that place again. This is not just for those na nagbabakasyon or nagtotour, kahit hiking lang yan etc. a photo is a good souvenir pero iba pa din pag may naiuwi kang bagay from that trip to make it special ♥like, kakaibang shape ng stone na napulot mo while hiking or yong piece ng stick or wood na ginamit mo... it will help bring good memories back pg nakita mo ang bagay na yon.

Oh well... isip isip na mga dear ♡
